Award Turfxtra Organic Soil Conditioner 10-0-4

AWARD TURFXTRA ORGANIC is an organic soil conditioner derived from plant based material, containing natural amino and humic acids, along with a blend of mycorrhiza to stimulate the rootzone and root development.

Turfxtra Organic can be used as part of the turf renovation programme, in an on going overseeding plan, or as an organic fertiliser throughout the turf maintenance season. Turfxtra Organic also benefits from containing an innovative blend of 9 different species of Endomycorrhizal species, which are: Glomus clarum, G. intraradices, G. mosseae, G. deserticola, G. monosporum, G. etunicatum, G. aggregatum, Paraglomus brasilianum, Gigaspora margirita

Role of mycorrhiza:

Beneficial fungi growing in association with plant roots and exist by taking sugars from the grass plant in ‘exchange’ for moisture and nutrients, which are gathered from the soil by fungal strands.

• Greatly increase the absorptive area of the plant, acting as extensions to the plant root system.
• A mutually beneficial relationship, without which neither plants nor fungi could survive.
• Offers some protection against root diseases.
• Can speed up turf establishment and grow in from seeding.
